Publix

The popular employee-owned supermarket chain is open until 9pm, while customers can expect Publix to open as usual at 7am on New Year’s Day.

Safeway

The chain of supermarkets are likely to remain open, although with potentially reduced hours

Stop & Shop

These supermarkets in the northeastern U.S. are expected to be open until 9om, although hours might vary by location.

Target

Customers can count on Target as a one-stop holiday shop open, as outlets are expected to be open until 9pm, while stores will resume regular hours on New Year’s Day.

Walmart

Walmart will be open for regular hours, from 7am to 11pm on New Year’s Day, meaning customers can take advantage of some exciting after-Christmas rollback deals.

Wegmans

Wegmans outlets are open on regular hours over New Year’s Eve and January 1, although the supermarket chains cautions it may be best to confirm this before visiting, writing on its website: “Our store holiday hours vary based on location and region.”

Whole Foods

The supermarkets are anticipated to be open on both December 31 and January 1, although trading hours are expected to vary by location.
