GAME PREVIEW

Jamshedpur FC finally broke their duck in front of goal when Izu Azuka scored the team’s first goal which also handed them their maiden win as they downed Delhi Dynamos earlier in the week.

Steve Coppell’s side has been very solid defensively, with Mehtab Hossain and Memo protecting the back four. The defensive pair of Andre Bikey and Tiri have been imposing while Jairu and Siddharth keep track of the wide spaces to help out the full-backs.

While it has seen them keep four successive cleansheets, the attack has fallen short of expectations. However, having scored their first goal, Coppell will be hoping to see his side make more of a mark going forward.

To penetrate a solid defensive wall set up by Coppell will be the challenge facing FC Pune City who boast an arsenal any side in the league would be proud of. Marcelinho, Alfaro and Diego Carlos are all match-winners by their own right and an intriguing contest is on the cards.

FC Pune City’s two wins so far have been sandwiched by two close defeats as Ranko Popovic searches for consistency in terms of performance as evidenced by their struggles against a disciplined Chennaiyin FC in their last game.

Having conceded six times already in four matches, the Stallions’  defense, marshalled by Rafa Lopez, will also need to be on point when they play Jamshedpur.
